Garden City, New York—the bustling foodie hub of the U.S. and Canada that was founded in the early 20th century—has become the food truck capital of the world.
And while the city has long been known for its quirky and hip food, the recent influx of new food trucks has brought an unexpected and surprising flavor to the city.
The city has a reputation as one of the most foodie cities in the country, but now there’s an unexpected side to it.
The city has its own food truck, which is opening up to the public in the first quarter of 2017, with the first show being held in June, and it’s expected to be a hit.
The food truck scene is rapidly growing in New York City, with hundreds of new locations opening each month, and the first Garden City event will take place on April 13, with food trucks in various styles.
“We’re really excited to have this first public preview event, and to have it be at a new food truck park,” said Kristin Gagnon, Garden City’s general manager.
“There are a lot of food trucks around the city, and we really want to show the city what the people can do.”
Food trucks, while not necessarily a new concept, are becoming more prevalent in the city as people get tired of eating at restaurants.
Last year, the number of food truck locations in the United States grew from 8,632 to 16,972, and in 2018, the city saw a 9.3 percent increase in food trucks.
There’s been a lot more food truck traffic over the past few years, with more than 10,000 food trucks registered to operate in the state of New York in 2017 alone.
Gagnons food truck team is currently working to make the first public event in Garden City as easy as possible.
“The first event was a huge hit,” Gagnondon said.
“It was a blast.
People loved it.
It was fun to see the excitement and the fun that we get from these food trucks.”
Gagnon said the food trucks are trying to do their part to bring people back to Garden City and to make it even more of a food destination.
“It’s a really unique thing, where they are just coming here for a few hours and they’re taking advantage of this really cool spot that we have, and that’s really exciting,” she said.
“There are so many amazing people in this city, so it’s really fun to go out and meet people.
We have so many restaurants that are great, and there’s so many food trucks that we’re trying to get in.”
The Garden City Food Truck Show will be held at the first location of the newly opened Garden City Restaurant & Wine Bar in Garden Hill, New Jersey.
The event is open to the general public on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.o.m., and is free and open to all ages.
Gagnons team has been working on the event since February.
The team is also working with the city to make Garden City more appealing to tourists.
“Tourists come to Garden Valley and want to experience a different kind of food, and this is what Garden City offers,” she added.
“So, it’s kind of exciting to see that the food is going to be out in the open.
And people are going to enjoy the food, too.”
The event is free to the first 100 people, but Gagnoni says it will be $15 per person, and then $20 for the second 100 people.
There are two ticket options for this event: one is to buy a Garden City Pass for $100 and the other is to pick up a Garden Valley VIP pass that includes food and drinks for $125.
The event will be hosted by the Garden City Foundation and will take over the Garden Hill Restaurant & Dining building on Wednesday, April 13.
Gannon said that if you’re planning to attend the event, make sure you have a Garden Crawl pass.
The first show will be at Garden City on Friday, April 20 from 4 p.t. to 8 p.p.m, and will be open to everyone, but tickets are $10 per person.
The Garden City VIP pass is $250 per person and includes food, drinks and parking.
The VIP pass can also be purchased through Garden City at a discounted rate.
